Meet Your Virtual IEP

Bridget Miller

I am a licensed mold assessor through the state of Florida.  I am also accredited through the ACAC as a Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist.  I have been looking at mold-sick homes since 2017.  Before that, I worked in an environmental lab setting where I analyzed tens of thousands of mold samples over a 9 year period.  I have been working with environmentally sensitive individuals for the past several years and have seen and experienced the impact that mold can have on the body. I work with people with CIRS, MCAS, and other environmental illnesses to diagnose their sick houses and coach them through remediation and other challenges.  My goal is to help people get to know their house and figure out their next steps– guiding them through the process.

How Can I Help?

I need to figure out if my house has a mold problem

If you’re noticing musty odors, odd symptoms, past water leaks, or something just doesn’t feel right at home, start here. This path is for anyone who wants simple, at-home testing kits to confirm whether mold is present. You’ll be able to jump straight to the three test options—Tape Lift, DNA Dust Test, and Mycotoxin Dust Sample—so you can get clear answers fast.

I’d like to ask Bridget some questions about my mold situation

If you’re already dealing with symptoms, have confusing test results, or just want a more hands-on, less DIY route, this is for you. Bridget’s virtual consultation gives you personalized insight, a clear plan, and support tailored to your home and health concerns—especially helpful when you need more than a test kit and want someone who knows exactly what to look for.

Mold Test Kits

There are many reasons why the right kind of test can be a good first step:

  • You need more information to confirm if the house is a “problem” because you’re the only one who’s sick and the house “looks” fine
  • You are sick but you spend time in more than one location and you’re not sure which location could be causing symptoms
  • You need evidence to get your landlord or spouse to get on board with moving forward
  • You have urine mycotoxin results and need to know if your exposure is due to your current location or you still have mycotoxins from a past exposure.
  • You’re buying a home and need more information
  • You might have had remediation done and want to confirm that mycotoxins aren’t still in the dust in the rest of the house

Whatever the reason, we’ve got you covered if testing is where you want to start.  It’s important to understand the difference between the types of tests below so that your choice will support the information you’re looking to get from the test

Why choose us for your mold testing needs?

  • You’ll receive a sampling guide to help you make the most of your sampling efforts– a little guidance goes a long way here.
  • Each test also comes with my interpretation of your results– I will analyze your results, along with some general details about your home, to help draw some possible conclusions about likely sources and give you your next action steps.

You should always consult with a doctor on symptoms you’re experiencing, but most people have already been down that road many times without help. Mold is very sneaky– we often hear that only one person in the house isn’t feeling well.  This is often due to genetic variations or past exposure to environmental toxins that have made it harder for some people to get rid of mold in their bodies.  Many people also assume that mold only causes allergy-like symptoms, however, we know that mold exposure can cause a much wider variety of symptoms.  Some people report immediate symptoms when they get home from a trip.  Others report that they noticed the home had a musty odor after coming back from a trip.  But often, it’s the worsening symptoms that lead people to try and find answers.

These are known symptoms as well as some symptoms reported by clients in sick houses:

  • Allergy-like symptoms (itchy eyes, skin rashes, coughing, sneezing, etc)
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, food intolerances)
  • Neurological (headache, fatigue, dizziness, brain fog, pins and needles, neuropathy, anxiety, panic attacks, worsening depression)
  • Other (muscle aches, joint pain, fever, night sweats, trouble sleeping, ear ringing/tinnitus)
  • Severe (anaphylaxis, respiratory failure, organ damage)

If your sample has not yet shipped, we will refund the full price of the testing kit you ordered.

If your sample has shipped, we charge a $20 fee to cover shipping and supplies cost.  The remaining amount will be refunded.
